*ZooLights and the Jewish Community Area at The Desert Tents will be open at 5:30pm. All programming will begin after Shabbat ends.

A community-wide celebration for all ages!

Last year nearly 600 people from our Jewish community gathered at The Phoenix Zoo for the fun, and this year we’ll be adding even more activities and entertainment options that will appeal to all ages.

Ticket Information

Your discounted* $25 per person ticket gets you:

  • access to ZooLights for the night
  • special goodie bag filled with treats and items to enjoy from our sponsors and community partners
  • exclusive access to the new and upgraded Jewish Community area at The Desert Tents where there will be crafts, programming, entertainment and more to enjoy.


Ages 2 and under are free.

Join us at 7PM for a special community-wide Havdalah ceremony led by Rabbi Aviva Funke from the Bureau of Jewish Education.

PJ Library will have crafts for kids to do and plenty of your favorite PJ library books to enjoy throughout the night.

Head out to enjoy ZooLights and add to the fun with our special scavenger hunt.

Experience an unforgettable musical performance at 8PM featuring Cantor Seth Ettinger from Congregation Beth Israel and Cantor Ross Wolman from Temple Chai.

Will there be enhanced security at this event?

Ensuring a safe and secure environment is our priority at The Center for Jewish Philanthropy. We continuously implement and review safety protocols and security measures at CJP events, aiming to provide a comfortable and protected experience for all attendees. We are in the process of finalizing our security plan with the Phoenix Zoo, law enforcement, as well as a private security company to ensure proper coverage for the event.

What if I can’t attend the night of?

Your ticket can be used during the remaining nights that ZooLights is open. Visit phoenixzoo.org/events/ZooLights/ for dates and restrictions.

Will there be kosher food available?

CJP will be putting together a snack table filled with prepackaged kosher snacks for you to enjoy in the Jewish Community Area at The Desert Tents.

Where and when can I pick up tickets?

Anyone who purchases tickets will receive the specific details and times for picking up your tickets in advance of the event. We will have a variety of opportunities for you to pick up your group tickets the week leading up to the event as well as a table that evening at the Phoenix Zoo. Please note that if you have a friend or family member picking up your tickets, you will need to communicate this information in advance to CJP staff so we can prepare accordingly.
